Hems: Double picot

double picot hem

  1. Work picot hem as for single picot hem.
  2. Knit 12 rows.
  3. Knit 1 row with a coloured cord along with the main yarn.
  4. Knit a further 5 rows with main yarn only. 
  5. Transfer every 2nd needle, leaving empty needles in work.
  6. Knit 6 rows
  7. Pick up the row marked with the coloured cord and hang onto needles
  8. Knit 1 row
  9. Pull the coloured cord tight and remove from one end
