Hems: scalloped hem

scalloped hem

  1. Cast on with waste yarn and knit a few rows
  2. Knit 1 row ravel cord
  3. Knit 1 row main yarn
  4. Select alternate (eg odd) needles to D position, set carriage to slip/part both ways, knit 1 row
  5. Select alternate (eg even) needles to D position, knit 1 row
  6. Repeat 4 and 5
  7. Cancel slip/part, set carriage to hold. 
  8. Select the 5th and every following 8th needle to hold
  9. Knit 6 rows
  10. Cancel hold 
  11. Knit 5 rows
  12. Pick up cast on row and hang it onto needles, knit 1 row
